Lucy Restaurant & Bar in Yountville Great Atmosphere

Lucy Restaurant In Yountville Goodwill

Lucy’s Restaurant and bar is one of the exotic restaurants in Napa Valley. Though luxurious, you won’t get any snotty vibe from the staff. Rather the friendly environment will intrigue you. People from far and wide visit this top-class restaurant daily.

Food rating websites like OpenTable and Kayak gave it a 4.5 out of 5, and Foursquare gave it 8.5 out of 10. The ratings are based on authentic menu and food decorations, service, setting, payment option, organic ingredients, parking option, and cocktail choices.

Breakfast hours start at 7 am and last till 11 am. Brunch from 11:30 to 2 pm and dinner from 5:30 to 10 pm. Reasonable serving hours and an explicit menu for each occasion will always have a surprising element.

Around 6 pm, they get a full house. Lucy’s various breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus entice both Bardessono hotel guests and locals. Their pet-friendly option satisfies many pet lovers in Napa Vally. Lucy’s has it handled with their “Barkessono” plate of animal delights.

History and Establishment Information

Lucy Bardessono’s interest in cultivation and passion for exotic eco-friendly food is the inspiration for the restaurant. The Bardessono family has been a resident of Yountville for the past three generations. Around 1920 they ventured into the wine business, and in 2009, the Bardessono brother built the hotel and Spa on their 5-acre land.

The same year, the restaurant and bar were built inside the hotel by taking major food ingredients from Lucy’s garden (Own handmade garden). Now they are partnered with major local vendors and fisheries to provide you with the best food items.

Menu and Cousine

Lucy Restaurant in Yountville is an appealing fine dining restaurant recognized for its contemporary decor and garden-inspired “field-to-fork” cooking. You will get French cousins and American cousins.

But the highlight of the restaurant is the sessional foods. Fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits adorn their menu palette. Their specials frequently change courtesy of Chief Jim.

Items feature Roasted beet salad, handmade granola, Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, braised short rib Osso Bucco, Caesar Salad, Traditional Smoked Salmon chilaquiles, slow-cooked porchetta sandwich, and many more.

You see, Chef Jim, over the years, perfected the art of modern cuisine with a tint of eco-friendly options. Every time will have some fresh vegetables added to it. You can also tell your preferences to your server, and they will try their best to make the food according to your liking.

The foods are also well decorated, and from personal experience, I can vouch for it.  Whether you prefer gluten-free, vegan, or nonvegan items, you will get them. Frequent visitors especially recommend chicken items for nonvegans and roasted beet salad for vegans.

Price Range

Lucy’s Bar and Restaurant is an exclusive one in the Napa Vally. I would say the price range is fairly medium. Not too low like local cafes or too high like prestigious ventures.

From 12$-50$, you will get exceptional food and wine. I won’t say it’s cheap, but it’s quite marginal considering the quality they ensure and the service they provide.

The service price is included in the food, but if I were you, I would put a few dollars in the tip box. It’s a show of common courtesy that befits the restaurant decorum. You can dine in or takeaway if you like. But unfortunately, like most exclusive restaurants, they don’t offer delivery service.

You can make your payment in cash or through a credit/debit card. Other online payment methods are not accepted here.

The restaurant is at 6526 Yount St, Yountville, right inside the Platinum Certified Bardessono Hotel and Spa, Napa Vally, CA 94599. You will find the location on your smartphone’s map.

This is the official and only branch of the restaurant. Owners don’t plan to open subbranches anytime soon. The restaurant opens at seven and closes at 10 pm. They take a break to prepare items for the next course in the middle.

For breakfast and brunch, you can wear any casual attire. But for dinner, we suggest you wear something semi-formal.

There are numerous options for making a reservation at the restaurant. You can directly reserve a table at the hotel’s website by emailing [email protected] with your preferred date, time, date, and party number. Or you can do it by calling 707-204-6030 for both breakfast and supper reservations.

Even if you don’t make a reservation, they will try to provide you with a table.

Bottom Line

Lucy Restaurant in Yountville always serves authentic food, creative cocktails, and exciting wine. But not everyone will indeed like what they offer. So, the staff members always try to improve their menu and satisfy their customers.

For years they have been holding onto their prestige and goodwill. In all honesty, you should visit the restaurant at least once.
